I drew this just in time for Halloween in 2022, also making it the first drawing of these two in 5 years! Talk about a walk down the memory lane. Realising Zadar in my current style was weirdly challenging – I rarely draw characters with this type of fringe any more for some reason. I decided against making his hair green, as it normally is, and went with a muted brown instead since there was a lot of green in the colour scheme already.
The white skulls/spellcasting details were made with masking fluid to make the white of the paper really pop. Overall I’m very happy with the results. It’s different from what I tend to draw nowadays, which was fun.
