Unspoken
I got my hands on a round watercolour pad recently and naturally I couldn’t resist testing it with Hawk and Ren’i. My colour palettes for them tend to be rather earthy, mostly because a great chunk of their story takes place in the desert, but I wanted to make at least one illustration of them…

The crown of arrows
Of all my characters I enjoy drawing Hawk the most, and this is probably my favourite picture of him so far. Lately, I’ve really liked this sort of simple colour palette – shades of brown and gold with a single effect colour – and I gotta admit, I think it suits him.

Desert Ride
Hawk and Ren’i out on a ride. Featuring Ren’i’s noble steed, Vasama, for the first time! I don’t draw horses often, so he ended up a little too small for his riders…

Firebearer
Presenting Ren’i with longer hair for a change. Longer hairdos are typical for Kishan soldiers, as they cut their hair only when going to war.

Ren’i and Hawk sketches
A sketch sheet of Ren’i and Hawk being cute together. Something soft and simple. One of my earlier concepts showcasing a tiny sliver of Ren’i’s back tattoos!
