Oerei’s day
There is no senator more hardworking in the whole empire. Most of his executive function can be credited to Lula, his personal valet. 1

Introducing Ren’i
I wanted to create a series of short intro comics about the most central characters in The Threefold Soul universe, and the most natural person to start with is Ren’i, the imperial crown prince himself. I’m out of most marker shades that I tend to use for comics, so some of these will be in…

Introducing Hawk
Next in the introduction queue is naturally Hawk, who else? He’s a man of few words, but there’s a lot going on in that head of his.

Colours of Pride
Ren’i in a slightly fancier get-up in honour of Pride Month. If he lived in our time and world he’d likely identify as pansexual – if he felt the need to define himself somehow, that is. Without further ado, have a wonderful, safe and love-filled end of the Pride Month, everyone! 1

A Winter Hunt
Ren’i, Hawk, Sava, Yurau and Linnee out in the wintry woods. Winter has been exceptionally beautiful and cold over here and I’ve been enjoying it a lot, so of course I had to paint something to commemorate that. Happy New Year!

Under the wisterias
The centaur theme continues with Hawk and Ren’i. It took me a couple of months to work on this – the poses and layout proved troublesome, not the mention having to figure out horse anatomy on top of everything else. I’m very happy with the outcome despite the struggle! The wisteria (literally called ‘blue rain’…

Hawk and Ren’i as centaurs
What if, in an alternate universe, they were centaurs instead? This thought has plagued me all summer long to the point where I finally had to draw something based on it. I wanted to paint something dreamy with more relaxed brushstrokes – here’s the outcome. I’ll also have postcards of these two at conventions later…

Those loved by Ren’i
The Threefold Soul is, at its very core, the tale of Ren’i and Hawk’s romance, but that doesn’t mean Ren’i hasn’t had other lovers or otherwise beloved people in his life before. Here are some of them – we’ll get to meet them soon enough. The amount of characters in this made this a real…

Fairytales in the Garden
Ren’i and Hawk’s private moment in the night-time garden. The lilac blossom is not only the coat of arms of the Kishan imperial house, but also one of my favourite flowers, so naturally I couldn’t resist painting a whole bunch of them here.
